The WolfPack women’s soccer team is putting together one of the best starts the program has ever had. With six matches left in the Canada West regular season, TRU holds second place in the Pacific Division with a 5-3 record, sitting just behind UBC. The Pack have built steady momentum through September and are in a strong position to secure a postseason berth.

A major part of that success has been the play of forward Esi Lufo. Named Gameday Athlete of the Month in August, she has already scored seven goals this year, giving TRU a reliable scoring presence at the top of the formation. Her ability to create chances and finish them has been the difference in several tight matches and has pushed the Pack into the upper tier of the standings.

TRU has also shown a much more balanced attack, with contributions coming from throughout the lineup. The midfield has consistently controlled possession, while the backline has provided the stability needed to protect leads late in matches. The combination of scoring depth and defensive resilience has given the WolfPack an identity as one of the toughest sides in the Pacific Division.

With six games still to play, the focus now shifts to maintaining consistency and collecting the points needed to lock in a playoff spot. Each result from here will be vital, and the Pack’s recent form suggests they have the tools to make a strong push into October.
