The WolfPack women’s volleyball team delivered a composed and confident performance Friday night, sweeping the fourth ranked Trinity Western Spartans in straight sets in Langley to extend their winning streak to a program record seven straight wins.

The match opened with both teams trading points as they settled into the contest. Once the WolfPack established their rhythm, pressure from the service line and consistent play at the net began to tilt the set in their favour. That control allowed the Pack to close out the opener and dictate the tone moving forward.

Momentum swung fully to the WolfPack in the second set. Aggressive serving disrupted Trinity Western’s offence, while disciplined blocking shut down scoring opportunities. The Pack built separation early and never looked back, turning the set into a decisive statement.

The third set brought the strongest push from the Spartans, but the WolfPack remained calm under pressure. After briefly trailing, the Pack responded with a key run that flipped momentum. With the score tight late, execution and patience made the difference as the WolfPack closed out the match.

Offensively, the WolfPack relied on balance rather than a single focal point. Hail Ward and Rida Erlalelitepe each recorded 12 kills, while Lucy Millam impressed in her first start of the season. At the net, Maria Dancheva anchored a strong blocking effort, and Madison Maichin provided timely contributions with her serving and defence.

Head coach Chad Grimm credited the team’s approach from the opening points.

“We played our game right from the beginning and did a good job of establishing that early.”

The victory moves the WolfPack to 11–2 on the season and keeps them atop the Canada West standings. It also marks their third straight win over Trinity Western dating back to last season, reinforcing the Pack’s emergence as one of the conference’s top contenders.

The WolfPack will look to complete the weekend road sweep when the two teams meet today in Langley.
