WolfPack Soccer Programs Open Canada West Playoffs This Weekend
Both TRU Wolfpack soccer programs begin their Canada West playoff runs this weekend, with the men on the road in Calgary tonight and the women hosting at Hillside Stadium on Saturday.
The men’s team opens postseason play against the Calgary Dinos in a quarter final, the program’s first playoff appearance since 2023. Calgary enters at 11-4-2 on the season, while the Wolfpack finished the regular season at 7-7-1. TRU did get the better of the Dinos in August, picking up a 2-1 win in a preseason meeting. A victory tonight would send the Wolfpack into a semifinal on Sunday.
On Saturday, the women’s team hosts a quarter final at Hillside Stadium against the Saskatchewan Huskies at noon. Saskatchewan comes in at 8-3-3 on the season. The Wolfpack earned the home game by finishing the regular season among the top teams in the Pacific Division, and a win would send them to the Canada West Final Four next week.
