TRU WolfPack Women’s Volleyball opens season with 4-0 record
The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s volleyball team is off to a hot start for the 2026-27 Canada West season, opening the campaign with four consecutive victories.
The strong start has the WolfPack sitting tied for first place in the Canada West standings alongside the UBC Thunderbirds and Winnipeg Wesmen. TRU also sits No. 7 in the latest U SPORTS national rankings after entering the season with high expectations.
The early success builds on what was a historic 2025-26 campaign for the WolfPack. Last season, TRU earned its first-ever berth in the U SPORTS National Championship tournament, posted the best regular-season winning percentage in program history and won its first Canada West playoff series.
Head coach Chad Grimm returns much of the core from that successful group, including fifth-year libero Olivia Andulajevic, who is coming off a Canada West Libero of the Year campaign. Andulajevic also enjoyed a memorable summer with the Canadian national team, helping Canada capture its first NORCECA women's continental championship.
The WolfPack will now look to carry their undefeated start into their next challenge, as they travel to Vancouver to take on the UBC Thunderbirds on November 6 and 7.
