The Kamloops Senior Rattlers are headed to the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League Finals after a statement win over Armstrong, the defending league champions.
It was a gritty and determined semifinal performance from the Rattlers, who now shift their focus to the championship series against Kelowna. With a league title on the line, Kamloops will look to make history — no team from the city has captured the Rowcliffe Cup since 2010.
The best-of-three final begins this Friday night in Kelowna. Game Two will take place on home floor in Kamloops, with a potential Game Three set back in Kelowna if needed.
Championship Schedule
Game 1 – Friday, July 18 at 8:00 PM – Kelowna Memorial Arena
Game 2 – Sunday, July 20 at 5:00 PM – Kamloops Memorial Arena
Game 3 (if necessary) – Friday, July 25 at 8:00 PM – Kelowna Memorial Arena
It’s a massive weekend for lacrosse in Kamloops, as the city’s other senior team, the Kamloops Venom, also begin their playoff run. Both clubs will be competing for provincial titles, marking one of the most exciting stretches of the year for local lacrosse fans.
The Rattlers have been building momentum all season and now stand just two wins away from a championship that would mark a significant milestone for senior lacrosse in Kamloops.
