Season Preview: Wolfpack Women’s Volleyball Opens Canada West Season Looking to Build on Historic Year

The TRU Wolfpack women’s volleyball team opens their 2026-27 Canada West season on the road in Calgary Friday night against Mount Royal, looking to build on the most successful season in program history.
Last year the Wolfpack finished 16-11 overall and 14-6 in conference play, qualifying for the Canada West Final Four for the first time ever before going on to compete at U Sports nationals. That benchmark sets the standard for what this group is chasing in 2026-27.
Much of the core that drove that historic run returns. Setter Libby Meldrum from North Vancouver brings veteran leadership and steadiness to the offensive system.
Alongside her in the back row is fifth year libero Olivia Andulajevic from Victoria, who enters her final season as one of the most talented defensive players in the nation. Fourth year outside hitter Keira Gent from Calgary returns on the outside, while third year outside hitter Rida Erlalelitepe returns at 6'2 and brings an international edge to the front row that few programs at this level can match.
Head coach Chad Grimm will look to this experienced core to set the tone as the Wolfpack open against Mount Royal on Friday.
