Two former Blazers have taken a significant step forward at the professional level, showing durability and consistency in their first full seasons.

Fraser Minten and Emmitt Finnie both suited up for all 82 games during their rookie campaigns this year, a notable milestone that speaks to their reliability and ability to handle the demands of a full schedule.

For Minten, the season marked an important transition as he continued to establish himself at the pro level. Known for his strong two-way game, the former Kamloops Blazers captain brought a steady presence night in and night out, earning trust in a variety of situations while adapting to the pace and physicality of the league.

Finnie, another product of the Kamloops system, matched that consistency in his own rookie season. After building a reputation as a skilled and creative forward in junior, he carried that approach into the professional ranks, contributing offensively while proving he could be counted on across a full season.

Playing all 82 games as a rookie is no small feat, requiring not only performance but also the ability to stay healthy and maintain a high level over several months. For both Minten and Finnie, it’s an early indicator of their potential to become dependable pieces at the next level.

Minten ended the season with 17 goals and 18 assists for a total of 35pts, while Finnie netted 13 goals and 17 assists for a total of 30pts. Both impressive stat lines for the young pair.

Their seasons add to a growing list of Kamloops developed players making an impact in the professional game, with both forwards showing they can handle the grind while continuing to develop their overall game.
