The Kamloops Storm are off to a strong start in their first season competing in the British Columbia Hockey Conference (BCHC), currently sitting third overall in the league standings at the start of November.

Through 16 games, the Storm have put together an 11-4-1 record, collecting 23 points and placing second in the Interior Division. Only the Williams Lake Mustangs and Kimberley Dynamiters sit ahead of Kamloops in the overall standings.

Kamloops has shown plenty of offensive ability early in the campaign, scoring 76 goals while allowing just 45 through its first 16 contests.

Leading the way offensively has been captain Luca D'Amore, who has been a major contributor to the Storm's early success. D'Amore has recorded 19 goals and nine assists for 28 points, providing consistent production at the top of the lineup.

Mattias Holte has also been an important offensive contributor, collecting 20 points, while Malcolm Anderson has added eight goals and 10 assists.

The Storm have already picked up some notable victories this season, including a 5-2 road win over the Kimberley Dynamiters that snapped the Dynamiters' eight-game winning streak. Kamloops also earned a 5-3 victory over the Fernie Ghostriders during the same road trip.

More recently, the Storm delivered an impressive 7-1 home victory over the Revelstoke Grizzlies on October 30, with Carter Biggs recording his first career hat trick.

However, Kamloops was unable to carry that momentum into the following night, falling 5-2 to the Merritt Centennials.

With a strong start behind them, the Storm will look to continue building momentum as the BCHC season progresses. Sitting just two points back of the league's top teams, Kamloops has positioned itself among the early contenders while continuing to find its footing in the new league.

The Storm will now look to turn their early-season success into a sustained push up the BCHC standings.
