The Kamloops Storm have put themselves in a strong position early in their first round matchup of the KIJHL playoffs.

After taking the opening two games of the series on home ice, the Storm now hold a 2–0 series lead over the Chase Heat as the series shifts to Chase for Game 3 tonight.

Kamloops set the tone early in the series with a pair of confident performances, combining strong defensive play with timely scoring. The Storm have controlled much of the pace through the first two games, using their depth throughout the lineup and steady goaltending to keep the Heat at bay.

Now the focus turns to the road portion of the series, where Kamloops has a chance to put a firm grip on the matchup. With games scheduled tonight and tomorrow in Chase, the Storm will look to build on their momentum and push for the two wins needed to close out the series.

For the Heat, returning home provides an opportunity to shift the momentum and extend the series, while the Storm know a strong effort over the next two nights could bring their opening round to a quick conclusion.

Game 3 is set to take place tonight at 7pm.
