Former Kamloops Blazers Captain Fraser Minten is putting together one of the strongest rookie seasons in the NHL with the Boston Bruins.
Minten earned NHL Rookie of the Month honours for January after recording 8 goals and 6 assists for 14 points in 14 games. He was also plus 12 during the month, consistently impacting games at both ends of the ice.
That production has been steady all season. Through 55 games, Minten has posted 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points. He also sits at plus 20 on the year, one of the top marks among NHL rookies.
Those numbers reflect more than just scoring. Minten has delivered consistent offense while being on the ice for far more goals for than against, showing his ability to contribute without being sheltered.
As the season continues, his production and efficiency continue to separate him from most first year players around the league.
