The Kamloops Blazers return home on Saturday, December 27 as they welcome the Calgary Hitmen to the Sandman Centre. Puck drop is set for 6 pm in what will be a meaningful night both on and off the ice.
The game will serve as a fundraiser in support of MADD Canada, with the event brought together by Mike and Lisa Davidson. The Davidson family lost their son Reid in 2023 due to an alleged drunk driver. Reid was deeply connected to the Kamloops sports community, growing up playing local sports and regularly attending Blazers games over the years. Saturday’s night is a way to honour his memory while promoting safer choices during the holiday season.

Fans will have the chance to participate in a second intermission puck toss, with prizes including the Ultimate Kamloops Sports Package. The package features game tickets, team merchandise, golf passes, sports equipment, and a restaurant gift card. Pucks are available for two dollars each or three for five dollars, with all funds raised supporting local initiatives.
The fundraiser coincides with MADD Canada’s 38th annual Project Red Ribbon campaign, which runs from November 1 through January 5, 2026. The campaign focuses on encouraging sober driving during the holidays, a period traditionally marked by increased travel and celebrations.
