Venom Qualify for TOJLL Playoffs with Huge Win in Final Regular Season Game

The Kamloops Venom are heading to the playoffs. In one of the most dramatic finishes to a TOJLL regular season in recent memory, the Venom edged the Kelowna Kodiaks 12-11 on Sunday to clinch the fourth and final playoff spot, sending the South Okanagan Flames home in the process.

It was a result that encapsulated the Venom's entire 2026 campaign. After a slow start that left them scrambling in the standings, Kamloops caught fire down the stretch and clawed their way into the postseason against the odds, beating out the Flames on the final day of the regular season.

The Venom now head to Kelowna Memorial Arena for the TOJLL playoff tournament from July 17 to 19, where they will face all three other clubs in a round-robin format against the league-leading North Okanagan Reapers, the second-place Kelowna Kodiaks and the Cranbrook Blackwolves. The Venom's eight championship banners are a reminder that this is a club that knows how to win when it matters most.
