The Kamloops Storm are heading into the final weekend of the regular season with everything still on the line. Two games remain and the KIJHL Prestige Cup race is far from decided.

Kamloops sits at 64 points with two games left. Kimberley currently leads the race with 66 points and one game remaining. Revelstoke is right there at 65 with two games to play. Beaver Valley is still alive at 62 with two remaining. A single loss or win anywhere in that group could shift the standings.

The Storm close out their home schedule Friday night at McArthur Island against the Quesnel River Rush. They then travel to Osoyoos on Saturday to finish the regular season against the Coyotes. Four points keeps pressure squarely on Kimberley and Revelstoke and could push Kamloops to the top depending on how the weekend unfolds.

Earlier this month the Storm clinched playoff hockey and secured the Doug Birks Division title. They are guaranteed home ice advantage through at least the first two rounds. Now the focus is finishing strong and positioning themselves as the team to beat heading into March.

Round one remains wide open.

Sicamous and 100 Mile House both sit at 28 points with two games remaining. Osoyoos has 27 points with two left. Chase sits at 27 with one game to play. All four still have a path to the final playoff spot, meaning Kamloops could be preparing for any of them.

One thing that is locked in is the playoff opener at McArthur Island. Game 1 goes March 6 at 7:00 pm. Game 2 follows March 7 at 7:00 pm.
