Stankoven set to bring Stanley Cup to Kamloops on August 16

Kamloops hockey fans can start counting down the days.
Logan Stankoven will have the Stanley Cup in Kamloops on Sunday, August 16th. This gives the city a chance to celebrate one of its own after an unforgettable NHL season.
While the date is now set, organizers are still putting the finishing touches on exactly what is going to happen on the day of. A complete schedule, including locations and opportunities for the public to see the Stanley Cup, is expected to be released in the near future.
Stankoven etched his name into Kamloops hockey history earlier this summer when he helped the Carolina Hurricanes capture the Stanley Cup. The former Kamloops Blazers captain played a key role throughout the playoffs, emerging as one of Carolina's most dangerous offensive weapons and adding another remarkable chapter to an already impressive hockey career.
