The Kamloops Storm are set to open the 2025/26 season with several key returnees from last year’s playoff run, bringing a mix of leadership, grit, and skill back into the lineup.
Up front, David Ander, Hayden Selin, and Nolan MacPherson return to lead the forward group. Beyond their numbers, the trio is known for their character and work ethic. Selin showed his playmaking touch last year with 10 assists in just fourteen games, Ander added nineteen points in 42 appearances, and MacPherson brought defensive responsibility and grit through 41 games. Together, they provide the kind of presence every successful team needs.
The Storm may also see the return of Luca D’Amore, who led the team in playoff scoring with 10 goals in 10 games. His offensive ability made him one of the most dangerous players on the ice during the postseason, and his presence would add even more firepower to an already competitive forward group.
On the blue line, Logan Bates, Hudson Clarke, and Wyatt Olson will provide stability at the back end. Bates chipped in two assists in 9 games and brings puck moving ability from the defense, Clarke logged 32 appearances last season with steady play and a physical edge, while Olson adds another reliable presence to the defensive core.
In goal, Brenner Fyfe returns after gaining valuable experience last year. With a season of KIJHL action behind him, he steps back into the crease as one of the best goalies in the league.
General Manager Matt Kolle summed up the importance of the returning core: “I’ll say this, our returning group embodies the spirit of the 2025/26 Kamloops Storm. They bring grit, tenacity, and accountability to the game. They will play a combination of an old school and modern brand of hockey.”
Alongside this group of returnees, the Storm will also welcome a strong class of new recruits who are set to make their mark in Kamloops. With leadership at the top, proven experience throughout the lineup, and fresh talent joining the mix, the Storm are poised for another competitive season in the KIJHL.
