Kamloops got its Stanley Cup day on Sunday, and the city made the most of it.
Logan Stankoven brought the Cup home after winning the championship with the Carolina Hurricanes earlier this summer, and he made sure the city got a full day out of it. He started the morning at Royal Inland Hospital before making stops at St. Ann's Academy and the TRU Wolfpack gym. From there the day moved to Duffy's Pub before the main community event took over Riverside Park, where an estimated 7,000 people turned out to celebrate with their hometown champion. The night then carried on to Earls and wrapped up at Sharks Club.
Stankoven worked his way through the city and gave Kamloops the celebration it had been waiting for since Carolina hoisted the Cup in June.
Stay tuned to Gameday Kamloops for our full length video of Logan's day with the Cup.
