One Month Out: Kamloops Set to Host Canada Soccer U-17 National Championships

In just one month, Kamloops will welcome the nation’s top youth soccer players for the 2025 U-17 National Championship. The tournament runs October 8–13, 2025, with McArthur Island Park hosting both the boys’ and girls’ national finals on Thanksgiving Monday.


The competition will feature 12 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams from across the country. Group stage matches will take place October 8–10, followed by elimination rounds over the weekend leading into the finals.


Kamloops United FC’s U17 boys team will be part of the tournament, giving the city local representation in the national competition. They are set to face Winnipeg South End United and Halifax County United in the Group Stage.

The U-17 National Championship will bring teams, supporters, and officials from across Canada to Kamloops, reinforcing the city’s role as a regular host for major competitions.

With one month to go, the final preparations are underway for a full week of soccer at McArthur Island.
