Canada Soccer has announced that Kamloops will host the 2027 Futsal Canadian Championship next April, marking the first time the national competition has ever been held in British Columbia. All matches will take place at the Tournament Capital Centre, with the men's and women's finals scheduled for Sunday, April 11, 2027.
The Tournament Capital Centre will feature two full-size futsal courts throughout the week of competition. The 65,000-square-foot indoor fieldhouse can accommodate up to 1,200 spectators, giving Kamloops fans a front-row seat to the best futsal clubs in the country.
Canada's top clubs earn their spot at the national championship through provincial and territorial qualifying competitions. Last year's edition in Calgary drew 17 clubs across the men's and women's divisions, bringing together more than 200 athletes, 50 coaches and staff, and 20 referees to compete for national honours.
Canada Soccer President Peter Augruso expressed enthusiasm about bringing the championship west. "Kamloops has a strong reputation for hosting outstanding sporting events and this competition will play an important role in the continued growth of futsal in Canada," Augruso said.
The announcement continues a strong partnership between Kamloops and Canada Soccer. The city previously welcomed Canada Soccer's U-17 National Championships in October 2025 at McArthur Island Park.
Admission details and scheduling information are expected to be announced closer to the event.
