After a dominant junior career with the Kamloops Blazers where he was named CHL Player of the Year, Logan Stankoven is back at Centre this season with the Carolina Hurricanes and looking comfortable. The Kamloops product has stepped into a top-six role at centre and is driving play with his pace, compete, and attention to detail.
“Going from centre in juniors to now at the NHL level has been a big learning experience so far, definitely challenging at times but I’ve had a great support staff here in Carolina to help me navigate the change,” Stankoven said.
Through the 2025–26 season to date, Stankoven has 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in 13 games, with a plus-4 rating, 26 shots, and an average 15:51 of ice time per game. He’s also taking on more responsibility in the faceoff circle as the coaching staff continues to trust his two-way game.
Carolina once again looks like a serious Stanley Cup contender as they sit 3rd in the Metro Division with games in hand. The Hurricanes boast one of the deepest lineups in the league, built around a strong defensive system and balanced scoring across all four lines. Stankoven’s emergence down the middle adds another dimension to an already dangerous group that expects to be playing deep into the spring.
