The Kamloops Venom are set to make playoff history — and they’ll do it on home turf.
For the first time ever, the BC Jr. B Lacrosse playoffs will be held in a three-day tournament format, and Memorial Arena in Kamloops will be the epicenter of the action. From July 18–20, four top-tier teams — the Kamloops Venom, Kelowna Kodiaks, North Oak Reapers, and South Oak Flames — will battle it out.
The Venom enter the tournament with momentum and a home crowd eager to see them shine. Their opening match is slated for Friday, July 18 at 10 a.m., followed by a primetime showdown that same night at 8 p.m. The action continues into Saturday, culminating in the Championship Game on Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m.
Led by veteran captain Ryan Watson, superstar Nate Van Unen (reigning Gameday AOTM), and other big names, the Venom have built a reputation for fast, physical, and disciplined lacrosse. Now, with their eyes locked on the prize, they’re ready to defend home floor and raise a banner in front of their city.
The path won’t be easy. Kelowna brings depth and grit, the Reapers are hot, and the Flames’ transition game can break open matches in a heartbeat. But if there’s one team built for the chaos and intensity of this high-stakes weekend — it’s the Kamloops Venom.
