A championship moment turned into a family milestone for one Kamloops hockey duo.
Johnny Ludvig and his father, Skills Coach Jan Ludvig, are champions after helping HC Dynamo Pardubice to the title in the Czech Extraliga.
For the Ludvig family, the victory carries a deeper meaning than most.
Johnny, continuing to carve out his professional career overseas, played a key role throughout the season, while Jan was the Skill Coach guiding the club through one of Europe’s most competitive leagues. Together, they helped deliver a championship to Pardubice, capping off a season defined by consistency and composure.
Johnny’s journey began in Kamloops, where he developed through the local hockey system before moving on to junior and eventually the professional ranks. Known for his steady presence on the blue line and strong defensive instincts, he has continued to grow his game in Europe.
Jan is a former NHL player turned coach and this victory is extra sweet for the two of them getting to share it together.
