As the calendar turns toward 2026, several Kamloops teams remain in the heart of their competitive seasons. This snapshot looks at where each program currently stands, outlining records, key contributors, and overall form as the second half of the season approaches. This overview includes only teams that are actively in season at the close of 2025.


Kamloops Storm

Record: 21-4-2

Key Players so Far: Luca D’Amore, Teghan Mullin, Noah Paulsen, Brenner Fyfe


The Kamloops Storm head into 2026 sitting atop the KIJHL standings and have set the pace across the league through the first half of the season. The Storm have combined offensive depth with special teams efficiency, owning one of the league’s top power plays. Up front, Luca D’Amore, Teghan Mullin, and Noah Paulsen have driven consistent scoring production. In goal, Brenner Fyfe has established himself among the league’s elite, leading all goaltenders in wins while posting strong numbers. In his first season as head coach, Andrew Fisher, alongside general manager Matt Kolle, has found effective combinations throughout the lineup, positioning the Storm as a clear contender entering the new year.



Kamloops Blazers

Record: 15-12-7

Key Players so Far: J.P. Hurlbert, Nathan Behm, Tommy Lafrenière


The Kamloops Blazers enter 2026 holding a playoff spot in a tightly packed Western Conference. The Blazers’ offensive production has been driven by the league’s two leading point scorers in J.P. Hurlbert (59) and Nathan Behm (51), giving the team elite firepower at the top of the lineup. Tommy Lafrenière continues to be the team’s primary goal scorer with 24 on the season. In net, Logan Edmonstone and Ivans Kufterins have shared duties throughout the season, providing the Blazers with stability as they look to maintain their position in the playoff race heading into the second half.


TRU Men’s Basketball

Record: 8-4

Key Players so Far: Jayden Stephens


The TRU WolfPack Men's Basketball opened the season with a strong start, highlighted by a a couple of wins over UBC and a 7-0 record that briefly placed them inside the U SPORTS Top 10. Jayden Stephens has led the way offensively, ranking fifth in Canada West in scoring. While the WolfPack cooled off slightly heading into the break, they remain well positioned in the Pacific Division and carry a solid record into 2026 with plenty of season still ahead.


TRU Women’s Basketball

Record: 5-7

Key Players so Far: Morgan Eichenberger, Olena Vasylenko


The TRU WolfPack Women's Basketball have shown clear improvement this season. The WolfPack have already surpassed last season’s win total and remain within reach of a playoff push. Balanced scoring from Morgan Eichenberger and Olena Vasylenko has helped stabilize the lineup, and the team heads into 2026 encouraged by its progress and competitiveness.


TRU Women’s Volleyball

Record: 10-2

Key Players so Far: Libby Meldrum, Keira Gent, Maria Dancheva


The TRU WolfPack Women's Volleyball sit at the top of the Canada West standings and enter 2026 as one of the country's top programs. The WolfPack are currently ranked seventh nationally in the latest U SPORTS rankings. Libby Meldrum leads all of U Sports in assists, while Keira Gent and Maria Dancheva have anchored the attack and presence at the net. TRU has positioned itself as a legitimate contender as the season moves forward.



TRU Men’s Volleyball

Record: 4-8

Key Players so Far: Alex Howard, Walker Sodaro, Brandon Johnson


The TRU WolfPack Men's Volleyball head into the new year looking to climb the Canada West standings after a challenging first half. Despite the record, the WolfPack have been competitive defensively, with Walker Sodaro and Brandon Johnson ranking among the conference leaders in digs. Offensively, Alex Howard has carried the load, leading the team in kills as TRU looks to build momentum heading into the second half of the season.
