There was little movement at the top of the leaderboard all week at Quilchena Golf & Country Club.
From the opening round onward, Wyatt Brook made it clear he would be the player to beat, and by the time the final putts dropped on Thursday afternoon, the golfer from Heffley Creek had secured his second BC Men's Mid-Amateur Championship.
Brook finished the 54-hole event at 12-under par following rounds of 69, 67 and 68, earning a two-shot victory over Victoria's Bryan Toth. While Toth mounted a late challenge during the final round, Brook never surrendered the lead he established on the tournament's opening day.
His consistency proved to be the difference.
After carding a 69 on Day 1 to move into first place, Brook followed with a second-round 67 to create separation from the field. Entering the final round with momentum on his side, he managed the course effectively and capped off the week in style with an eagle on the par-5 18th hole.
While several players made a push over the final 18 holes, the championship ultimately belonged to Brook. His steady play over three rounds left little opportunity for the rest of the field, and a closing eagle served as the final highlight in a week where he led from start to finish.
