Kamloops United FC will kick off their BC Premier League campaign this Saturday with both their men’s and women’s sides in action at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver.
The men’s team opens the day with a 3:00 PM matchup against the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy, followed by the women’s side at 5:30 PM as they take on the Vancouver Rise Academy.
The men’s squad enters the season looking to build on a strong 2025 campaign that saw the club finish fifth in the league standings while setting a new club record with seven wins. With several returning players expected back in the lineup, KUFC will aim to take another step forward under new leadership.
Taking over the men’s side is English manager Darren Sarll, who brings a wealth of experience from the English Football League along with time spent working within Premier League academies.
On the women’s side, KUFC is focused on progression after a challenging season that saw them finish at the bottom of the standings. Despite the results, the team featured one of the youngest squads in the league, providing valuable experience that the club hopes will translate into improvement this year.
Head coach Haley Bartram returns for her second season in charge, continuing her role in developing and promoting players from the club’s youth system while integrating experienced veterans into the squad.
Both teams are expected to feature a mix of returning players and new additions, with full rosters set to be released just before their season opener.
