Kamloops United FC has named John Antulov as the Club’s new Head of Emerging Talent. Antulov is legendary figure in the Kamloops soccer community, having guided TRU Men’s Soccer to a national championship and spent years identifying and developing top prospects across the region. He served as the Whitecaps Academy Regional Director in Kamloops, where players gained opportunities to be seen by MLS academy staff, and university coaches, with some even advancing into the Vancouver Whitecaps academy system.
The Club noted that his background aligns with KUFC’s growth and its preparation for future participation in higher level leagues within the BC Soccer Player Pathway. His work will focus on identifying players ready for the next step and strengthening the Club’s development structure.
GM Lyle Dos Santos shared why this move is so important for the future of KUFC “We are incredibly proud to welcome John Antulov into the role of Head of Emerging Talent at Kamloops United FC. John’s deep understanding of our community, club culture, along with his proven leadership, and commitment to developing players make John a tremendous addition to our Technical Staff. John has played a pivotal role in the growth of the game in Kamloops and we are excited to have him back at KUFC supporting youth development across the region.”
Antulov spoke about the personal meaning behind taking on this role “Very pleased to be starting my new position at KUFC. It’s a full circle moment as a player growing up in Kamloops and now helping develop young kids to get to the highest levels possible. I look forward to being part of the team at KUFC and building the club to the highest levels of football in BC and Canada.”
This appointment strengthens KUFC’s commitment to building a clear pathway for emerging talent and marks an important step as the Club continues its long term development plans within Kamloops.
