Kamloops Blazers forward JP Hurlbert is set to showcase his talent at the 2026 WHL Prospects Game in Langley, taking place on February 18.

Hurlbert, a dynamic presence for the Blazers since arriving in Kamloops, has steadily climbed the ranks of WHL draft eligible players. His selection places him among the top young talents in Western Canada.

The Prospects Game brings together standout players from across the WHL, giving NHL scouts a prime opportunity to evaluate the league’s rising talent. For Hurlbert, the nod is a testament to the consistency, energy, and two way maturity he has shown throughout the season.

In Kamloops, Hurlbert has grown into a reliable contributor, impacting games with his speed, forechecking pressure, and ability to create offense in tight areas. He also happens to be the leading scorer in the entire Western Hockey League right now.

The WHL Prospects game will be an exciting event to watch for any hockey fan and it is no surprise that it will include JP.
