The Kamloops Blazers are set to hit the road for a five game stretch, beginning tomorrow night on Vancouver Island against the Victoria Royals. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm on Tuesday night.
The trip will begin with a back to back in Victoria at the Save on Foods Memorial Arena. Road swings like this often play a major role in shaping the standings, and Kamloops will be looking to set the tone right out of the gate.
The Blazers have shown an ability to compete in hostile buildings this season, leaning on a structured game and strong team buy-in to keep themselves in tight contests. That approach will be crucial as they face a series of opponents with limited margin for error.
Beyond the standings, the road trip also presents an opportunity for the group to build momentum and confidence away from the comforts of home. With five games packed into a short window, consistency and discipline will be at a premium.
As the Blazers begin the journey in Victoria, the focus will be on getting off to a strong start and carrying that energy through a road trip that could have a lasting impact on the remainder of the season.
After Victoria (20-18-5-3), the Blazers will play Everett (39-6-2-1), Vancouver (18-29-1-2) and Prince George (29-17-2-0).
