Thompson Rivers University WolfPack volleyball programs receive some accolades after a season that saw both the men’s and women’s teams establish themselves as contenders in Canada West.
Leading the way on the women’s side is setter Libby Meldrum, who has been named a Canada West Second Team All-Star after putting together a statistically dominant season. Meldrum finished the regular season leading U SPORTS in assists.
Joining her in the conference spotlight is outside hitter Rida Erlalelitepe, who was once again named a Canada West All-Star. It marks the second straight season Erlalelitepe has earned the honour, solidifying her status as one of the premier players in the conference.
On the men’s side, the future looks bright.
First year standout Daniel Hitchens has been named to the Canada West All-Rookie Team after an impressive debut campaign. Hitchens quickly carved out a regular role in the lineup, showcasing maturity beyond his years and proving he could compete at the U SPORTS level.
The Women’s team hosts the Canada West Quarter-Final games this Thursday and Friday at the TCC, both set to start at 6pm.
