Kamloops United FC defender Riad Jaha has been named to the League1 BC Men’s Team of the Month after an impressive run of form through May.

Jaha, a native of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, spent time in the Vancouver Whitecaps residency system and now plays university soccer for the University of Prince Edward Island. Since arriving in Kamloops, he’s become a regular starter for head coach John Antulov, quickly earning the trust of the coaching staff and making a noticeable impact on the back line.

Reflecting on his first stretch with the club, Jaha said:"I feel like so far on a personal level this season has been great. From my first day here, the guys and staff have really made me feel at home. As well, the quality of the team has made it easy for me to settle in and look good. I’m looking to keep improving with every game and contribute to the team."

After a strong start to the season, Kamloops United has recently faced some adversity, dealing with tough results and untimely injuries. But Jaha remains confident in the group moving forward."We had a great start to the season, but the last few games we have been struck with adversity — whether it’s results not going our way or unlucky injuries. But with the talent and character we have as a group, I’m still very optimistic and excited to see how we bounce back and perform in the second half of the season and end it on a positive note."

Jaha’s inclusion in the League1 BC Team of the Month is a reflection of both his individual quality and the stability he’s brought to Kamloops United’s defensive unit early in the 2025 campaign.
