The Kamloops Pickleball Club is set to host the 2026 Kamloops Open from May 29 to 31 at Riverside Park, and this year's edition is shaping up to be the largest in the tournament's history.
With 425 players and 30 referees expected to make the trip from across North America, including competitors from Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Montana, Washington, and British Columbia, the event has grown significantly since its early days. A number of the country's top players are set to compete.
New for 2026, the tournament expands to a second venue with MacDonald Park on the North Shore joining Riverside Park to accommodate the growing field. Competition runs daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM across 57 events organized by five skill levels and multiple age categories, with athletes ranging from 13 to 79 years old taking part. Friday features Men's Doubles and Women's Singles, Saturday is dedicated to Mixed Doubles, and Sunday closes the weekend with Women's Doubles and Men's Singles.
Thanks to sponsorship from Comazzetto Group and BMO Wealth Management, the tournament will offer $5,000 in cash prizes across the Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles divisions.
Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
