Forward J.P. Hurlbert has been named a WHL First Team All-Star, a nod to the impact he has made throughout the 2025–26 campaign.
It’s an honour that reflects not just production, but consistency.
Hurlbert has been a driving force for Kamloops all season long, combining skill, vision, and a relentless motor to lead the Blazers’ offence. Whether creating chances off the rush or delivering in key moments, he has been a player the team has leaned on night after night.
His ability to elevate his game against top competition has set him apart.
Across the Western Hockey League, the First Team All-Star selection recognizes the very best at each position. Players who have not only put up numbers, but have shaped the outcome of games and defined their team’s identity.
Hurlbert has done exactly that in Kamloops. His presence has been a constant. His leadership on and off the ice, paired with his offensive production, has made him one of the most important pieces of the lineup.
Now, he has the recognition to match.
